Getting started
What is Vouched?

Vouched is a hiring platform built for people who are done with ghost jobs, hidden salaries, and applications that vanish. Every listing shows a real salary range. Every employer commits to answering every applicant. And every candidate is vouched for by someone who actually worked with them.

Is Vouched really free for job seekers?

Yes. There is no premium tier, no profile boost, no credit system for applying. Finding work on Vouched costs nothing. That is permanent, not an introductory offer.

Who is Vouched built for?

Professionals in transition โ€” people displaced by AI, laid off, overlooked, or worn down by the standard job board experience. It is connected to Forward, a free skills platform, so training you complete shows up directly on your profile.

How do I sign up?

Go to vouched.fyi and create an account with your email or with Google. Choose "Job Seeker" when asked for your role.

Roles are fixed once your account exists. If you later need an employer account, create a separate one with a different email.

Your profile
What should my profile include?
  • Headline โ€” one sentence on who you are professionally. Not your last job title. Who you are now.
  • Skills โ€” specific and honest. What you can actually do.
  • Career narrative โ€” your story in plain language. What you did, what happened, what you are doing about it.
  • Location and work preferences โ€” remote, hybrid, or in person.
  • Open to Work โ€” turn this on to appear when employers search the talent pool.
Should I be honest about being AI-displaced?

Yes. Employers on Vouched are specifically looking for people who have faced disruption and come through it. Your displacement story is not a liability here โ€” the platform was built around that reality.

Can employers see my profile if Open to Work is off?

They cannot find you in employer searches with it off. Your public profile link still works for anyone you share it with directly. Turning it off is how you stop being discoverable without deleting anything.

Vouches
What is a vouch?

A short endorsement from someone who actually worked with you โ€” a former manager, colleague, collaborator, or client. Their name and their relationship to you appear on your profile. It means someone stood up and said so, with their name on it.

How do I get vouched?

From your dashboard, open the Vouches section and request a vouch. You get a link to send to former colleagues directly โ€” email, text, wherever you already talk. It takes them about two minutes.

How many vouches do I need?

There is no minimum, and vouches are not a gate โ€” you can apply to jobs without any. Profiles with multiple vouches are attractive to potential employers. Vouched does not rank vouches by who wrote them; what matters is that a real person who worked with you put their name to it.

Can I vouch for myself?

No. Self-vouching is not permitted, and one person can vouch for you only once. A vouch is only worth something because it came from someone else.

What if I cannot get vouches right away?

Apply anyway. Vouches are not required to apply. In the meantime, Forward badges and a complete career narrative give employers plenty to go on.

Forward & badges
What is Forward?

Forward is the free skills platform connected to Vouched. Real practitioners teach real skills โ€” AI tools, career transition, professional development. Finishing a course earns a badge that appears on your Vouched profile, so employers see it before you apply.

Browse the course library โ†’

What are the badge tiers?
  • Completed โ€” you worked through the material and confirmed it.
  • Verified โ€” you passed a knowledge check drawn from the actual course content.
  • Verified by [Instructor] โ€” the highest tier. The instructor's name is on the badge, which means their professional reputation is attached to it.
Do badges expire, and do courses cost anything?

Badges do not expire. Courses, badges and knowledge checks are all free, permanently. The free side of this platform is not going to change.

Applying
Do I need a resume to apply?

No. Your Vouched profile is your application โ€” headline, career narrative, skills, vouches and badges all go to the employer together.

What is the 14-day reply standard?

Every applicant is notified of their status within 14 calendar days of the role closing date. Weekends count.

The clock starts when the employer closes the role โ€” not when you apply. It means that once a role closes, you hear something. An update, a rejection, or an interview. Not silence.

What if an employer does not reply?

Their listing is flagged for review and our team follows up with them directly. You can also tell us through the contact page. Accountability only means something if it is enforced, and that is on us, not on you.

Can I apply to more than one job at a time?

Yes, with no limit. Apply to every role that genuinely fits.

Can I see whether my application was viewed?

Your dashboard shows the current status of every application, and you get an email whenever an employer moves it forward.

Your account
How do I change my email or delete my account?

Reach us through the contact page and we will handle it. Deletion removes your account and the vouches others submitted about you.

I found work. How do I stop showing up in searches?

Turn off Open to Work in your profile settings. You stop appearing in employer searches immediately. Nothing is deleted and you can turn it back on whenever you want.

Which browsers are supported?

Current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile.

Getting started
How is Vouched different from other job boards?

Three structural differences, and none of them can be bypassed:

  • Every candidate is endorsed by a real former colleague โ€” not self-reported skills or a keyword match.
  • Every listing must carry a salary range.
  • You commit to telling every applicant where they stand.

These are requirements, not features.

Is there a catch?

The catch is accountability. If you post a role you are not actively filling, it comes down. If you leave applicants in silence, your listing is flagged. Vouched only works because both sides are held to the same standard.

Do I need to verify my company?

For most employers it happens automatically โ€” you add a card when you start your 30-day trial, and that confirms you are a real business. No documents. You are not charged during the trial.

Can several people from my company share an account?

Right now it is one account per company. If more than one person needs access, sign up with a shared inbox such as hiring@yourcompany.com.

Posting a job
How do I post a job?

From your employer dashboard, choose Post a Job. The form covers role details, requirements, salary range and your commitment. There is no separate payment step โ€” posting is included in your plan.

Post a job โ†’

Is a salary range really required?

Yes, and it is non-negotiable. Every listing needs a minimum and a maximum before it publishes.

Hiding salary wastes your time as much as the candidate's. Publishing the range means only people aligned with your budget apply, which is less screening, not more.

What does a listing require?

Job title, company name and description, location or remote arrangement, role type, salary range, industry, company size, and the role description with requirements.

Can I edit or unpublish a listing after it goes live?

You can edit the description, requirements and application details any time. Changing the salary range or company name on a live listing needs to go through us โ€” reach out via the contact page.

You can unpublish from your dashboard whenever you want, which frees the slot immediately.

The 14-day reply standard
What exactly am I committing to?

Every applicant is notified of their status within 14 calendar days of the role closing date. Weekends count.

The clock starts when you close the role โ€” not when you publish, and not when someone applies.

What counts as a reply?

Any of these:

  • A message acknowledging the application
  • A status update moving them forward or closing them out
  • An honest rejection

What does not count: no response, an auto-responder on its own, or a reply sent outside the platform where we cannot see it happened.

I am buried in applications. What should I do?

Send an honest status update. "We have your application, we are reviewing, we will have an answer within two weeks" counts. The standard is that nobody is left in silence โ€” not that every reply is a final decision.

What happens if I miss the window?

You get a reminder before the deadline. If the window passes with no reply recorded, your listing is flagged and reviewed by our team, and repeated breaches put your account under review.

We would much rather send the reminder than take the listing down.

Finding candidates
What is Browse Talent?

A search of the verified candidate pool. Filter by skills, badges, vouch count, career level, location and availability, view full profiles, and invite people to apply.

When does Browse Talent unlock?

Once you have an active posting. It is not a standalone browsing tool, and that is deliberate โ€” match quality is calculated against a real role with real requirements. Without a live posting you would be scrolling thousands of undifferentiated profiles, which is exactly the experience Vouched exists to avoid.

What does a Forward badge tell me?

That the candidate completed real training, not that they signed up for it. The Verified tier means they passed a knowledge check drawn from the course content. The top tier carries the instructor's own name, and therefore their professional reputation.

How should I read a vouch?

Literally. Someone who worked with this person put their name next to an endorsement. A candidate with three vouches has three former colleagues willing to say, publicly, that they are worth hiring.

Pricing & billing
What does Vouched cost?

Pricing is based on your company size, not on how much you hire.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

Every plan opens with 30 days free. You get everything your plan includes โ€” post jobs, receive applications, message applicants.

A card is required at signup so nothing interrupts you when the trial ends, but you are not charged during the 30 days. The trial runs a full 30 days from signup, not to the end of the calendar month, and your exact end date is in your Billing tab.

How do I cancel before I am charged?

Cancel from the Billing tab in your dashboard at any point during the trial. Cancel before day 31 and you are never charged.

What happens when all my slots are full?

Your plan sets how many roles can be open at once, not how many people you hire. Three options:

  • Close a filled role โ€” free, and the slot frees up immediately.
  • Add one more posting for a one-time $75 on your current plan.
  • Move up to the next plan.

Slots are a live-at-once limit, not a monthly balance, so there is nothing to carry over.

How do I pay, and is there sales tax?

Credit and debit cards through Stripe, which handles and secures all payment data โ€” Vouched never stores your card details. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout and shown before you confirm.

Trust & support
What stops fake candidate profiles?

Vouches come from real, identified people and are checked for authenticity. Badges are earned by passing knowledge checks, not by signing up. And flagged accounts are reviewed by a person, who can suspend or remove them.

How do I report a problem or a candidate?

Use the Report option on any profile or application, or reach us through the contact page. Reports are reviewed by a person, not a queue.

Which browsers are supported?

Current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile.

Still stuck?

The contact page routes you to the right person instead of a shared inbox that nobody reads.
