Forward is a free professional learning commons. Every instructor on this platform has agreed to share real knowledge, for free, with people who are rebuilding their careers. That commitment is the foundation everything else rests on.
This Code of Conduct exists to protect that foundation — for seekers, for instructors, and for the integrity of the platform.
Section 1 — Teach What You Know
Instructors on Forward are subject-matter professionals. Your content must reflect genuine expertise in the topic you registered to teach.
- Your content stays within the subject area you declared at signup.
- If you want to teach a new topic area, submit it for review before publishing content in that area.
- Speculation, opinion, and off-topic commentary are not Forward content. Forward is a skills platform, not a general commentary channel.
- Every lesson, module, or video should answer the question a learner came to you with — not a different question you found more interesting.
The bar for your content on Forward is high. Be sure the time they invest in your module has immediate application.
Section 2 — Professional Language Standard
Forward is a professional-to-professional environment. The people watching you are rebuilding their careers. They deserve to be spoken to as the professionals they are — or are becoming.
- Use clear, professional language in all content.
- No profanity or language that would be considered inappropriate in a professional workplace setting.
- No slang, casual register, or filler language that undercuts your credibility or theirs.
- Speak to your audience as colleagues, not followers.
- Write descriptions, titles, and summaries to the same standard as your spoken content.
Your content should be appropriate for a corporate training environment. If you would not say it in a client presentation, do not say it on Forward.
Section 3 — Political and Social Neutrality
Forward is not a platform for political views, social commentary, or ideological advocacy of any kind.
- No political opinions, endorsements, or commentary — regardless of party, candidate, policy position, or ideology.
- No social commentary that is not directly, specifically relevant to the professional skill being taught.
- No framing of professional topics through a political lens.
- This applies to all content: video, descriptions, titles, comments, and any other material associated with your Forward presence.
Zero tolerance. There is no acceptable level of political content on Forward.
Section 4 — Professional Conduct Toward Learners
Instructors set the tone. Seekers will take their cues from you.
- Treat every learner as a capable professional in progress.
- No condescending, dismissive, or demeaning language toward any audience or group.
- No content that generalizes, stereotypes, or makes assumptions about seekers based on their background, industry, or experience level.
- Respond to learner questions and feedback professionally, if and when you engage with them.
The people learning from you are professionals who are rebuilding or strengthening their position in a competitive marketplace. They deserve your best.
Section 5 — Enforcement
Forward operates on trust and community flagging. There is no pre-publication review. Instructors are held to these standards after content goes live.
Violation Process
1A seeker or instructor flags content as a violation.
2Rebecca reviews the flagged content within 5 business days.
3First violation: written notice. Content removed until corrected and resubmitted.
3Second violation: instructor tile removed. Account suspended pending review.
3Third violation or severe single violation: permanent removal. No appeal.
Severe Violations — Immediate Removal
- Political advocacy or endorsement of any kind
- Discriminatory content targeting any group
- Deliberate misrepresentation of credentials or expertise
- Content designed to sell, recruit, or convert learners (violates pledge gate)
You are responsible for your content. If your YouTube channel goes down, your video is deleted, or your content becomes unavailable for any reason, your Forward tile will be removed until the content is restored.
